History
Parsons Brinckerhoff was founded in 1885 in New
York City, by General William B. Parsons, and has
participated in many of the world’s most notable
infrastructure projects over the past century, in-
cluding the design of the original New York City
Subway, the development of landmark bridges
and tunnels, the building of airports, and the
commissioning of energy projects around the
world.
In 1959, WSP began operating in Quebec, Can-
ada. The firm is focused mainly on buildings,
environmental rehabilitation projects, bridges,
rails and roads. WSP is famous for engineering
prominent high-rises, such as the Shard in Lon-
don and the Freedom Tower in New York City. In
October, 2014, the two companies merged to
create the firm known today as WSP|PB.
Experience in Israel
WSP|PB has been providing engineering services
to the Israeli market for the past 25 years. With
over 120 employees, WSP|PB’s local team has
been active in diverse markets such as the ex-
pansion of Ben-Gurion Airport, themonitoring of
Israel Railways’ Five-Year Development Plan, the
Jerusalem Light Rail, the Ashdod and Haifa Ports’
Master Plan, the Electrification of Israel Railways’
system, and the project management of the Red
Line of the Tel Aviv light rail.
WSP|PB’s local office in Israel has also provided
consultancy services to the Natural Gas Authority
since its inception and Owner’s Engineer services
for several large power stations. Additionally, the
firm participated in the recently completion of
Sirin’s and Gilboa’s Wind Farms - Israel’s first
modern wind farms. The local office takes great
pride in playing essential role in some of Israel’s
largest infrastructure and energy projects. Being
