and consulting in civil engineering and
mechanical engineering. The firm was founded
in 1969 by Eng. Shlomo Gilboa, over the years it

About the Firm
The firm is located in Herzliya and is managed by
Erez Gilboa who is . Major inMechanical En-
gineering and in Fluid Flow and Energy (inMechani-
cal Engineering), Economics and Management (in
Industry andManagement) – all from the Technion
in Haifa. Erez Gilboa is amember of the USNational
Fire Protection Association (NFPA) as well as the
American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and
Air-Conditioning (ASHRAE). The Air-Conditioning
Department is headed by Yaniv Borenshtain
in Mechanical Engineering from Ben Gurion Uni-
versity in Be’er-Sheva) and Victor Ferdman .

from Lithuania Polytechnic Institute, Alex
Kor from Tashkent University) and Sergey

qualifications and expertise in various engineer-

Areas of Expertise
Design of sanitary plumbing and fire extinguishing
systems – Design of water, sewage and drainage
systems, conventional and automatic systems for
fire extinction by sprinklers, industrial pipes, water,
sewage and ducting infrastructures, pumping sta-
tions and systems for treatment, purification, and
waste-water recycling and industrial effluence.
Design of air-conditioning and ventilation sys-
tems – Design of cooling, heating and ventilation
(over and under pressure) systems, compressed
air, medical gases and steam systems, smoke
extractors from basements, kitchen air and odor
extractors, as well as the treatment of poisonous
gases and central heating systems.
Superposition (systems coordination) – Coordina-
tion between all the project’s systems, locating
incompatibility between the systems and the build-
ing’s frame elements. Presenting alternatives for
the execution contractors and the supervisor.
Urban Renewal
The firmoperates in all the planning and construc-
tion aspects regarding urban renewal for the lead-
ing developers in Israel. The firm is experienced
and skilled in National Outline Plan projects and
actually plans various projects countrywide, includ-
ing GreenPark in Ramat Hachayal for Metropolis,
Andrius Netanya for Africa Israel, Mendelblat St. in
Herzliya, Pichman St. in Ramat Aviv and more.
Green Building
Over the years, the firmhas gained valuable know-
how in design and planning of green solutions.
Assimilating green technologies, gained the firm
considerable saving of expensive resources such
as water and energy, greatly minimizing the envi-
ronmental pollution. The firm completed the plan-
ning of the engineering systems in Shikun & Binui
House at Airport City, and was awarded the presti-
gious global LEED Standard with Gold ranking.

Apple House, Herzliya Pituach – For the devel-
oper: Gav Yam. Hi-tech center, concentrating all
the activities of the company and its subsidiaries,
considered the largest development center in the
world outside the US. Planning and construction
of offices and laboratories. Planning: Yashar Archi-
tects. Interior Design: Greenhouse Architects.
Kalia Hotel, DeadSea – Planning of systems at the
new hotel, participated in the hotel and commer-
cial center planning. Planning: Feigin Architects.
Israel Railway “Capital fast lane” Tunnel – Plan-
ning of engineering systems in the tunnel, extend-
ing over 22 km., connecting Mevo Horon to the
International Convention Center in Jerusalem.
New Givat Shmuel – For the developer: Africa Is-
rael. Planning of engineering systems for a huge
residential compound, extending fromGivat Shm-
uel to the outskirts of Petah Tikva. Planning: Yasky
Moore Sivan Architects.
Sommeil Compound – Several towers and com-
mercial areas for the developers: Hagag Group, Af-
rica Israel. Planning: Moshe Zur Architects, Yashar
Architects.
Sarona Compound – Planning of the renewed Tem-
plar Compound, the firm has specialized in the
assimilation of gentel engineering processes, due
to the meticulous conservation works at the site.
