Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd.

I

srael Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) is a

world leader in the delivery of state-of-

the-art ground, air, sea, space, and cyber

technologies and systems. IAI operates in the

defense and commercial markets of 90 countries

around the world. In 2015, IAI’s sales totaled $3.7

billion, with some 80% in exports. IAI’s backlog

as of December 2015 reached $8.6 billion, and its

2015 net profit totaled approximately $9million.

IAI continually expands R&D investment to create

additional future growth engines.

Core Areas of Activity

Space:

Positioned as Israel’s national center of

excellence in space technology, IAI has a proud

legacy of dozens of satellites deployed in space.

IAI develops and produces awide range of cutting-

edge satellites and satellite equipment, including

observation and communication satellites,

scientific/research satellite systems, ground

control stations, mission centers, and launchers.

With the latest members of OPTSAT-3000 (an

electro-optical imaging) satellite product line,

TECSAR (a Synthetic Aperture Radar observation)

satellite line and AMOS communications satellite

product line, IAI has utilized the advanced

technologies, experience and know-how

developed over the years to provide users with

cost effective and comprehensive solutions for

national security and commercial applications.

Missile Defense:

IAI has led the development of

Israel’s multi-layered missile defense program

since 1990, as the prime contractor for the Arrow

2 and 3 missile defense systems and provider of

key sensors for other widely deployed, air and

missile defense systems. IAI is also leading the

groundbreaking Barak-8 program, an advanced

long-range surface-to-air missile (SAM), designed

to defend against any type of airborne threat.

Unmanned Systems:

With over 40 years

experience and 1,400,000 operational flight

hours, in support of key military operations

around the world, IAI is a global leader in the

design, development, and manufacture of

unmanned systems. IAI supports a wide range

of advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV),

unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) and unmanned

surface vessels (USV).

Naval Systems:

IAI develops, manufactures, and

integrates advanced naval mission systems,

sensors, and combat management systems:

maritime radars, electro-optical payloads,

electronicwarfare, communication and datalinks,

and C4I. IAI’s defense systems include the

Barak family of anti-air and anti-missile defense

system and the Gabriel anti-ship attack missile.

IAI offers advanced patrol and attack boats, and

modernization and upgrade of existing vessels

and systems.

Intelligence Surveillance, & Reconnaissance

(ISR):

IAI delivers real-time reconnaissance,

electronic intelligence capabilities through

turnkey solutions focusing on strategic and

targeting assets. These includeSignal Intelligence

(SIGINT), Image Intelligence (IMINT), Synthetic

Aperture Radar (SAR) technologies, and day &

night EO/IR systems, all implemented through

integrated, networked and connected system of

systems.

Modernization & Upgrade:

IAI transforms previ-

ous generation platforms on aircraft and helicop-

ters of Eastern andWestern origin into advanced,

effective systems able tomeet today’s and tomor-

row’s most demanding mission requirements.

Modernization packages often include a com-

prehensive life extension and system upgrades

with advanced avionics, training equipment,

simulators, and mission planning and debrief-

ing systems.

HomelandSecurity (HLS) &Cyber:

Operational at

some of the world’smost sensitive conflict areas,

IAI’s comprehensive, integrated solutions utilize

airborne, ground-based, maritime or mobile

sensors, augmented by unattended platforms

like aerostat or unmanned patrol vehicles,

through secure information networks. In the

cyber domain, IAI offers a comprehensive suite of

cyber-intelligence, cyber early warning and cyber

training and simulation systems for defense,

intelligence, law enforcement and homeland

security applications. IAI’s capabilities address all

operational levels, from signal interception and

analysis, to advanced, user-directedmonitoring,

assessment and targeting.

GroundSystems:

IAI develops advanced systems

and capabilities for use by land forces, including

state of the art battle management and commu-

nication systems supporting on-the-move broad-

band communications and integrated targeting

and navigation technology for precision guided

weapons. IAI also offers a wide range of com-

bat support systems – from guided missiles to

obstacle breeching, counter-mine, and counter-

IED. A significant thrust of IAI’s land systems de-

velopment is in the area of robotics, integrating

autonomous navigation, sensor fusion, terrestrial

andSATCOMcommunications through the imple-

mentation of modular robotic building blocks.

Commercial Aviation:

IAI designs and manufac-

tures business jets, primary aerostructures and

landing gear, servo control and actuator systems

for major international OEMs. IAI also provides an

expert, one-stop-shop for commercial aircraft,

with full maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)

services for aircraft, engines and components.

Aircraft Conversions:

IAI is a recognized, global

leader for aircraft passenger to cargo conversion

with over 40 years of experience and more than

200 converted aircraft delivered. IAI develops its

own STC (“BDSF”) for a range of aircraft cargo
