Acquittal by the District Court from rape and sod-

omy – Case 56852-09-14.

In this case, Yakoby suc-

cessfully brought to the acquittal of a defendant

accused of rape and sodomy, despite the slim

chances. Yakoby cautiously cross-examined the

female complainant in court, and in consequence of

the cross examination, the defendant was cleared

of all charges and was immediately released.

Acquittal from indecent acts charges – Case

37146-10-11.

After conducting an aggressive

cross-examination of the complainant, the real

motive of the complaint was exposed, which re-

sulted with the acquittal of the defendant, who

was accused of indecent acts.

Acquittal from robbery charges in aggravated cir-

cumstances – Case 23562-11-13:

Yashar Yakoby

brought to the acquittal of the defendant, who was

accused of robbery in aggravated circumstances,

despite the fact that the complainant and his part-

ner identified himas the offender. After a thorough

cross-examination, Yakoby proved that the com-

plainant’s partner carried out the robbery himself.

Acquittal by the Supreme Court - Case 8231/14:

In the midst of arguing a claim at the Supreme

Court during an appellate hearing, the judges

recommended to the State Attorney to acquit the

defendant of property offenses. Following that he

Acquittal for serious assault by the District Court

- Case 42040-09-13:

prison by the District Court.

Acquittal fromviolence offense against his spouse

– Case 7722-08-14:

A dispute between two spous-

es resulted with the woman filing a complaint

where she claimed she suffered physical violence

fromher husband. An effective cross-examination

brought to the acquittal of the defendant.

Acquittal fromviolent offenses – Case 46858-11-

15:

After cross-examining the psychiatrist expert,

the prosecution understood that there was no

point in continuing the charges and asked to ac-

quit the defendant, who was immediately cleared

from all charges.

Acquittal fromassault, threatening and disturbing

the police – Case 46003-04-12:

A complaint by

a neighbor to the police about physical violence

brought to the immediate arrest of the suspect.

The cross-examination of the complainant dam-

aged her reliability, which resultedwith the acquit-

tal of the defendant from all charges.

Acquittal from growing drugs, and the posses-

sion of tools for drug use – Case 22221-09-13:

Yashar Yakoby brought to the acquittal of a de-

fendant, who was accused of growing drugs, from

all charges. After evidence was given, the judge

remained unconvinced about the identity of the

guilty party, since there was no proof the drugs did

not belong to the apartment’s other occupant.

Acquittal fromassault and threats charges – Case

22020-12-12:

A wife complained about violence

and threats, made by her husband. After cross-

examining her in court, it became clear that the

situation was the absolute opposite, and the hus-

band was acquitted from all charges.

Acquittal from theft charges – Case 65364-10-13:

A security officer followed a suspicious customer

and caught him leaving the store with products he

didn’t pay for. The court acquitted the defendant,

because it was not proven that he intended to steal

the products.

Acquittal fromassault and threats charges – Case

24171-09-12:

A woman contacted the police and

claimed the defendant choked her. The defense

agreed to submit all the State’s evidence, and

claimed that although all the witnesses gave the

defendant’s name, there was no certainty that

he was the assailant, because a witness lineup

was not conducted, and the witnesses learned

his name from each other. The defendant was ac-

quitted from all charges.

Annulment of an indictment during cross-exam-

ination – Case 21197-09-13:

During the cross-

examination of the complainant by Yashar Yakoby,

she admitted she lied in the police investigation,

and framed the defendant with aggravated vio-

lence. Due to this dramatic revelation, the State

dropped all charges and the court annulled the

indictment.

Acquittal fromaggravated violence – Case 57189-

10-13:

After cross-examining the complainant, who

claimed that the defendant brutally assaulted him,

the judge doubted the identity of the assailant and

the defendant was acquitted from all charges.
