147 Years of Professional and Family History
L&L has a long professional-family history root-
ed in the ancient Italian-Jewish community. In
1869, Riccardo Luzzatto founded the Luzzatto
law firm specializing in IP. His son Enrico joined
the firm and published the book still consid-
ered today the cornerstone of IP work. Dr. Edgar
Luzzatto, the third generation, one of the lead-
ing patent attorneys in Europe, immigrated to
Israel in 1971 and established the firm’s Israeli
branch. In the 1980s his son Dr. Kfir Luzzatto
and his wife Dr. Esther Luzzatto joined the firm,
and they made it into one of Israel’s leading,
most professional and influential patent at-
torneys. The fifth generation - Adv. Michal Luz-
zatto - has now joined the Luzzatto Law Firm and
Lilach Luzzatto, Patent Attorney - has entered
the firm’s engineering activities.
Dr. Kfir Luzzatto - President of Luzzatto Group
- The Firm’s Managing Partner and one of Is-
rael’s senior patent attorneys: Guest lecturer in
academic institutions, author of many books
and articles, and one of Israel’s senior and es-

Dr. Esther Luzzatto - Patent Attorney - The
Firm’s Managing Partner: Specializes in chem-
istry alongside the company’s daily manage-
