Digital Banking

For the first time in Israel and in accordance with

the world’s leading banks, Leumi’s Digital Bank-

ing Division was established in early 2016. The

creation of this business line is a significant step

forward in the digital revolution spearheaded by

Leumi. The division is responsible for leading

and implementing advanced digital innovation

across all business lines of the Bank, in addi-

tion to managing the Marketing and Big Data

Departments.

Leumi and the Community

Ever since its establishment and alongside its

business activities, Leumi has always been an

active partner in the society and community in

which it operates. In recent years, this legacy

is manifested in the Bank’s activities in promot-

ing education, culture and the arts among the

future generation.

In the centenary of its establishment, Leumi

founded “Leumi Tomorrow - The Centennial Fund

for the Young Generation”. The fund supports

educational projects and works to reduce social

gaps and provide equal opportunities amongst

youths from the periphery. In 2015, more than

20,000 youths throughout Israel participated in

various educational and enrichment programs

which the fund supports. Leumi also supports

the “Young Entrepreneurs” Project, ever since its

establishment in 1989. In addition, thousands

of bank employees volunteer every year in a

broad range of social activities for the benefit

of the community.

In recent years the Bank decided to allocate

more resources towards initiating and support-

ing projects in the field of financial empower-

ment. This includes leveraging the tools and

knowledge obtained by the Bank in order to

provide an added value to customers and to dif-

ferent sectors of society. Within this framework,

the Bank has most recently initiated nationwide

projects in the area of financial education.
