Advanced Medicine Ltd.
SAREL supplies a full spectrum of goods
and services to hospitals and medical in-
stitutions. SAREL offers a wide range of
pharmaceuticals, vaccines, medical and labora-
tory equipment and disposables, complementary
products and services. The company is owned by
the nonprofit Society of “Public Hospitals for the
public”, which serves public purposes only.

Centralized Procurement (One-Stop-Shop) and
Logistics
SARELwas founded in 1995, pursuant to a govern-
ment resolution to serve as a Group Purchasing
Organization (GPO) for theMinistry of Health’s vari-
ous divisions & hospitals. SAREL’s Headquarters
comprise a state-of-the-art logistic center, and its
distribution system is designed to deliver goods
from the company’s and suppliers’ inventories
directly to customers’ warehouses and points-
of-use throughout the country. SAREL’s products
catalogue includes over 50,000 medical items.
During 2012 SAREL assimilated service measure-
ment tools (SLA) and began the implementation
in 2013, and will continue this process into 2015
in order to improve service levels to the various
hospitals.
SAREL employs about 140 workers. 2015 Sales
turnover reached NIS1,180million. Highly skilled,
multi-disciplinary staff, comprehensive database
of commercial and professional know-how, exten-
sive experience, Quality Assurance System, and
centralized procurement, enable SAREL to offer its
customers a wide range of quality products from
Israeli and international manufacturers, at the best
prices and availability. SAREL is also a member of
the AHA – American Hospitals Association - an
international procurement organization.
SAREL in Emergencies and Wartime
SAREL is an approved emergency establishment,
and its warehouses are available on a 24/7 basis
during wartime and peace, providing emergency
supplies on demand, including medications and
medical equipment.
Supply-Chain Management
Centralized customer service and orders manage-
ment, advanced inventory control and storage sys-
tems, control and QAmechanisms, a computerized
warehouse, and an efficient distribution and trans-
port system, enable the company to supply end-
user customers with products on a “just in time”
basis at the best price and with the highest level
of service. Advanced CRM and inventory control
systems including RFID technology at point of use,
installed by SAREL in hospitals, enable reduced in-
ventories, and savings on inventorymanagement,
ordering and tendering, and an online suppliers
system and customers website.

Business Divisions
Pharmaceutical Division
Staffed by leading experienced pharmacy profes-
sionals; national center for the supply of vaccines
under national vaccination programs, and life-sav-
ing drugs. Supply a wide range of pharmaceuticals
for use by the Health System, such as: ambulatory
and hospital medications, hospital disinfectants,
anti-sera and blood products, IV solutions etc.
Medical Division
The division is at the forefront of technology, up-
to-date on professional developments worldwide.
Procurement and technical specialists provide a
complete range of equipment and accessories for
routine operations of the health care institutions,
from basic products to the most sophisticated
medical instrumentation, including medical and
surgical equipment, cardiology, angiography, or-
thopedics, laboratory analyzers, equipment and
disposables; hospital beds, OR equipment, cloth-
ing and textiles for patients and staff, as well as
special projects as per client requirements.
Medical Innovation
SAREL offers innovative systems to hospitals in
areas such as automatic preparation of patient’s
UNIT DOSE drugs by the pharmacy - increasing
patients’ safety and reducing manual work;
preparation of the Cytotoxic treatment using ro-
bots, design and enhancement of patient’s envi-
ronment, etc.
Capital Equipment
Full range of the most advanced medical equip-
ment for hospital use, including imaging systems
(MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Catheter-
ization rooms, and Accelerators), OR, monitoring,
respiration, etc.
National Projects
In coordination with the Ministry of Health and
upon its requests, SAREL designs and operates
national projects including continuous updating
and resupply of drugs andmedical disposables in
emergency inventories; supplies for medical and
rescue teams dispatched overseas; vaccination
against Swine Flu; profiling and arming against
the Ebola virus; supplies for the Polio vaccination
project; national “Cornea Campaign” to shorten
waiting list for cornea transplants - a complex op-
eration involving imports of corneas from the US
directly to surgical theaters.
Giving Back to the Community
SAREL attaches great importance to giving back
to the community through a wide range of volun-
tary activities. SAREL runs a program in a hostel
for children-at-risk, enhancing the children’s re-
habilitation and social integration. The company
also purchases products from organizations that
employ physically handicapped people. The
“Council for a Beautiful Israel” has awarded the
company with 5 beauty stars over the last 15 years,
the “Flag of Beauty” in 2008, “A Decade of Excel-
lence” in 2009 and a friend diploma in 2014 for
the “Beautiful and Sustainable Industry in Israel”
competition.
