The solution combines engineering capability in a
variety of technologies, based on the rich experi-
ence of the company’s dozens of engineers, along

Areas of Activity
Raw Materials Manufacture –
The company is a
leadingmanufacturer of rawmaterials for construc-
tion and infrastructures. Owns quarries, concrete
and cement plants countrywide, manufacturing a
variety of construction and road pavingmaterials,
including aggregates, asphalt and concrete, being
conveyed to the construction sites by the group’s
transport company consisting of hundreds of trans-
porters. In order to ensure high quality products,
the group greatly invests in the improvement of
production processes and uncompromising QA.
LargeScope Infrastructure Ventures –
As the larg-
est infrastructure group in Israel, Shapir is involved
in most of the infrastructure projects carried out
in the country. Among others, Shapir participated
in the paving of hundreds of km. of roads country-
wide, such as Road 531 in the Sharon area, Road
471, Krayot Bypass and Road 3, the southern
part of Highway 6 (Cross Israel) currently under
construction, buildings dozens of bridges such as
Akbara, the longest and highest bridge in Israel,
Mivtza Kadesh Bridge, Gilo Bridge.
Digging tunnels for the Jerusalem Railway (A1)
which was recently complete, as Ixel, Modi’in
and Shapirim tunnels. Marine works such as the
construction of the new Bay Port in Haifa (with a
partner), works at Ashdod and Haifa ports, con-
structing the first stage of Yovel Port in Ashdod,
piers in Haifa, coal unloading pier in Ashkelon,
gas pipeline replacement project, Israeli Ministry
of Defense’s Polinomproject, large scale construc-
tion works, such as, power stations, airports, rail-
way stations, etc.
Development –
The group develops and carries out
extensive projects in collaboration with the public
sector. In this frameworkthe group signs BOT or PFI
contractswith theState for financing, building, op-
erating andmaintaining projects for long periods,
returning them at the end to the State.
Among others, Shapir implemented this method
in projects such the Knesset’s expansion in Jeru-
salem, construction and operation of the Nation
parking lot in Jerusalem, the fast lane entering Tel
Aviv, which was very successful, reduced traffic on
Road 1 by thousands of vehicles and grants a free
shuttle service to employment centers by drivers
parking their cars at Shapirimparking lot. In 2014
the group signed another BOT agreement to build
and operate the northern part of Highway 6 – the
Cross Israel Road, at a scope of NIS billions.
Residential Real Estate Development -
Planning
and construction of residential projects country-
wide, in the framework of which the group has
been building hundreds of housing units in many
zones in Israel including Rehovot, Mevaseret,
Modi’in, Ma’ale Adumim, Netanya, Or Yehuda,
Herzliya, Yavne, Rosh Ha’ayin and Ra’anana. The
group’s development and engineering capabili-
ties ensure that the projects are carried out at the
utmost standard, guaranteeing apartment buyers
with full value for their investment. Shapir Group’s
shares are traded on Tel AvivStockExchange since
the end of 2015.
