Menorah Izu Aharon Group

enorah Izu Aharon is Israel’s lead-

ing company in the field of train and

transportation infrastructure, traffic

control and electro mechanic systems. The com-

pany was founded in 1958 by Mr. Izu Aharon,

and began operation specializing in electric-

ity and infrastructure systems construction.

Soon the company developed in the complex

electric infrastructure field, in lighting systems’

construction and maintenance, traffic lights and

traffic control. Since Eli Aharon joined the com-

pany, it began to further develop, into the field

of train communication and train barriers, while

forming liaisons with the leading entities in the

world and implementing the most advanced

systems. Over the last decade, the company

continued to develop in the electromechanical

systems field, and currently has the following

departments: electric installation, high and

low voltage electric devices, installation sys-

tems, road lighting, traffic control and traffic

lights, tunnel control, trains and barriers and

low voltage systems. This comprehensive range

of activities positioned the company as the top

services provider pertaining to many fields at an

optimal execution standard, under one roof and

in complete synergy. Menorah was chosen to be

the exclusive Israeli representative of the finest

manufacturers in the world, among which are

SBH - SignalBau - Hubar - Germany, STS - Swarco

traffic system - Germany, VIA – Berlin, Bosch

Ledico, Telrgra, Citilog and Kinksun. 60 years

of experience, customer-oriented service val-

ues, specialization in groundbreaking systems,

uncompromising quality, financial strength and

outstanding human resources positioned the

company on top of its field and as a preferred

supplier of government ministries, leading entre-

preneurs, public entities and private clients.

Menorah as a significant part of the Israeli

Infrastructure and Construction field

Over the years, Menorah played a significant role

in complex noteworthy national projects. One of

the major projects is the establishment of the na-

tional traffic control and supervision center, which

controls all of the traffic light systems in the coun-

try which belong to the National Roads Company,

and operates at the Israeli Police Transportation

Department site in Beit Dagan. Other major proj-

ects include infrastructure and systemwork at the

airport, the Carmel Tunnels, Habima National The-

ater, Tel Aviv Culture Center, railroad barrier instal-

lation along the tracks and radar installation for

train crossroads, construction and maintenance

of road lighting, electricity infrastructure at military

bases, stadium lighting, hospitals, etc.

The company is currentlyworking on groundbreak-

ing commercial and national projects in the infra-

structure and construction field:

• Gilon Tunnels project and paving railroads Akko-

Carmiel, Haifa-Beit Shean, Herzelia Kfar Saba.

• Harel Tunnels project on route 1.

• Construction and maintenance of road lighting,

Traffic Lights and Control systems for the National

Roads Company and local authorities.

• Alon Towers project, Yigal Alon St., Tel Aviv.

• Haarbaa Towers project, Haarbaa St., Tel Aviv.

The Company Today

Until a year ago, the company consisted of several

subsidiaries, each of which operatedwithin its field

of expertise, under the highest classifications and

fully owned by Mr. Eli Aharon. In the past year, the

subsidiariesmerged into the parent company, Me-

norah Izu Aharon Company. Since its foundation,

Menorah has been privately owned and it employs

about 260 employees, including internationally

renowned fieldmanagers pertaining to lighting and

traffic lights, engineers, technicians andworkman-

agers. Menorah enjoys its employees stable record,

due to a rewarding familial organizational culture.

All of the knowledge and experience accumulated

by its valued personnel stays with it for the benefit

of its clients. The company is ISO 9001 certified for

supervision and management, ISO 14001 certi-

fied for environmental management system and

is a member in the Israel Green Building Council

(ILGBC). The head offices are located in Haifa, and

branches are located in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

Electro Mechanic Systems

Electricity –

and tunnels smoke releases, cooling and heating

rooms.

Installation –

and extermination systems, sewage and channel-

ing water lines, pumping stations and machine

Infrastructure and Tunnels

Road Lighting –

the development and lighting

department specializes in constructing and main-

tenance of roads and intersections lighting arrays,

pipes infrastructure and communication systems’

chaining, roads, intersections and crossroads light-

ing supervision directories, tunnels lighting power

control systems.

Traffic Lights and Traffic Control –

the department

constructs and maintains nationwide traffic lights

systems, spreads optical fiber infrastructure, traf-

fic lights control centers, city and inter-city traffic

control systems, and CCTV systems for traffic and

security supervision.

Train Barriers –

construction and maintenance

of train barriers along the railroad nationwide,

including installation of radar systems for train-

road crossing points.

Tunneling –

Menorah specialized in all tunneling

work including electricity, HUAV, infrastructure

systems and electromechanical systems supervi-

sion, and became a groundbreaking company in

the field of infrastructure workand tunnel systems.

The company constructed the control and supervi-

sion center in the Carmel Tunnels, is constructing

and maintaining the electromechanical systems,

smoke & gas ventilation, electricity, water pumping

atSarona Tunnel in Tel Aviv, planning the execution

of road supervision and electromechanical systems

in Harel Tunnels, construction andmaintenance of

unique heat detection systems on railroads, sys-

tems for the detection of objects on railroads and

complex high voltage systems in Gilon Tunnels.

Very LowVoltage –
