Elyakim Ben-Ari Group
ElyakimBen-Ari Group, established in 1970,
is a leading company in Israel in the civil
engineering field, industry (quarries and
asphalt) and transport. The company’s synergistic
activities (producing raw materials, transport and
construction) enable it to be efficient, and inde-
pendent of external sources, giving it a relative
advantage in the sectors in which the company
operates. The company has a skilled, quality work-
force including large teams of engineers and works
with managers with extensive experience in infra-
structures. Most of the company’s customers are
government bodies and the leading institutions
in the economy including: Defense Ministry, Na-
tional Roads Co., Israel Railways, Netivei Ayalon,
Mekorot, Ports Authority, Dead Sea Works, JNF,
Ministry of Environmental Protection and more.
Elyakim Ben-Ari Group continually strives to be
part of Israel’s national infrastructure projects in-
cluding BOT tenders, and to expand its industrial
and environmental activities while maintaining
maximum quality and excellence.
Civil Engineering
ElyakimBen-Ari specializes in implementing com-
plex civil engineering projects. The company’s rich
experience enables it to meet the highest stan-
dards, deadlines, and complete projects in the
most efficient and highest quality way. In Novem-
ber 2010, Ben-Ari acquired Tel Ram Projects Ltd.,
now part of the Group, and specializing in complex
bridge work of various types and sizes.
Industrial Plants & Quarries
Hotzei Yehuda Quarry (Adora) – The quarry has
been active since 2000 and contains reserves of
high quality rawmaterial of about 35million tons.
The company has permits for concrete, asphalt and
aggregate plants in the quarry.
Har Shahar Quarry – Located south of Beer She-
va, the quarry has been active since 1995. The
company has an industrial area with permits to
build concrete, asphalt and aggregate plants.
Nitzana Quarry (Egyptian Border) – Active since
1991, with unique deposits of white, textured
streamstones. The quarry’s products (streamparts
and special stones are sold under the Even Ari
brand and used in gardens and nurseries, profes-
sional gardening chains, architects and industrial
plants. The Even Ari brand provides natural and
innovative solutions in gardening, and its varied
products include tuff, stepping stones, railway
sleepers, infrastructure platforms, and quality
aggregate plants.
Asphalt Plant (Ammann) – In April 2012, the com-
pany founded Oren Ben-Ari Asphalt Ltd., as part
of the Group, to produce, distribute and market
asphalt products. The asphalt plant is in the Hotzei
Yehuda quarry and built to the most advanced
technological standards.
Asphalt Plant (Ammann) – In May 2016 the com-
pany founded a new asphalt plant located at the
Har Shahar Quary, Mashabei Sadeh. The plant was
established as part of the expansion of the com-
pany’s production, diversification and marketing
of various asphalt products.
Basalt Quarry Romania, Ben-Ari Negev Indus-
trial Srl – In 2008, a basalt quarry was set up in
Romania.
Mechanical Engineering Equipment
Elyakim Ben-Ari owns a fleet of mechanical engi-
neering equipment used in quarry work and engi-
neering projects and providing services to external
customers.
Service Garages – The company owns approved
garages providing solutions solely for the indepen-
dent needs of the company including trucks, heavy
vehicles and a garage for mechanical engineering
equipment. The garages are on the Group’s private
land in the Ashdod Industrial Zone.
Transport
Elyakim Ben-Ari owns dozens of trucks for trans-
porting quarry materials and waste, and provid-
ing services to the Group’s divisions and external
customers with long-term contracts. SA Afar Ltd.,
part of the Ben-Ari Group, owns dozens of trucks
and provides transport services including moving
quarry materials and hazardous materials.
Environment
Ben-Ari Group takes into account the importance
of the environment at all times and dictates opera-
tions to preserve and promote this important aim.
The company operates several transit stations for
home refuse including “Hiriya” (Greater Tel Aviv
urban union), the largest in the country. The com-
pany sorts and recycles refuse at the site and trans-
ports the non-recyclable garbage to be buried at
an approved site in the south of the country. The
company recently began transporting truckloads of
sand and waste, using freight train, amounting to
thousands of tons each day. By the end of 2016,
the company will operate 3 rail lines throughout
the country, including private railway terminals. In
the course of this activity, the company will be able
to reduce heavy trucks movements on the roads.
Activities for the Community
ElyakimBen-Ari aims to be involved in the commu-
nity as part of its annual contributions to associa-
tions and the needy. Two years ago, the company
set up the TevaSchool (a private school for children
with learning disabilities) and has continued to
help it since its establishment.
