Peamit
T
he disposable-products market has
grown significantly over the past few
years, as an increasing percentage
of the population has come to recognize the
convenience of using high-quality disposable
products. Peamit Group, the long-time market
leader for all disposable and biodegradable
products, has spearheaded this trend. Peamit
was founded in Jerusalem, in the early 80’s, and
first focused on marketing packaged products.
Over the years, Peamit has expanded its activ-
ity within related market sectors. Today, Peamit
is the undisputed market leader, comprised of
three companies, each devoted to one facet of
the disposable and biodegradable products and
utensils market: Peamit Business; Peamit Store;
Tavnikol.
Peamit Business
focuses on large-scale distribu-
tion, primarily to institutions such as hotels. The
company has approximately 2000 active business
clients, including hotel chains, coffee chains, Knes-
set offices, as well as other major companies in
Israel. Peamit Business markets itself as a one
stop shop, providing everything from logistical
services, to branding, to marketing. To that end,
Peamit Business has expanded its product base
to include items such as household equipment,
cleaning supplies, and various types of packag-
ing solutions.
Peamit Store
, founded in 2005, is Israel’s largest
disposable-goods retail chain. With 18 locations
nationwide, Peamit Store provides for the needs of
the everyday consumer, offering a selection of over
9500 items designed to furnish an elegant event
at affordable prices. Customers are assisted by
friendly and professional staff, skilled at directing
customers to the best choices for their particular
event. Regular customers can enjoy the benefits of
a PeamitStoreMembership, which currently boasts
approximately 108,000 members. Peamit Store
has grown at an annual rate of four locations, with
two additional stores scheduled for launch before
end of year.
Tavnikol
imports and markets disposable goods
to retailers, reaching 650 sale points—including
food chains and other business that require dis-
posable utensils and high-quality products. The
company develops a unique, customized product
line for each client, based on that client’s particular
products and packaging needs. Tavnikol also has a
private brand that serves the retail sector.
Peamit National Headquarters span 3 acres of the
Har Tov Industrial Park. The headquarters includes
a new, 9500-square-meter office space and logis-
tics center, fully stocked warehouses, and a dock-
ing and loading area.
The Peamit brand is by far the strongest in its field.
According to amarket survey, 92%of Israeli house-
holds use disposable utensils, and the Peamit
brand have an unaided brand consciousness of
77 percent. Peamit’s vision is to continue to lead
the market, by providing affordable access to dis-
posable goods, including event-quality goods, to
the entire nation. Peamit’s executives continually
invest in company growth, expansion, and market
development, and this aggressive strategy has led
to double digit growth in annual turnover since the
company’s founding.
Peamit’s products meet the highest standards of
excellence—they are the finest and most innova-
tive solutions available in Israel. Rigorous quality-
control is an integral component of the Peamit
company culture: including ISO 9002 authoriza-
