or more than 50 years, Motorola Solutions
Israel has been developing advanced
communications solutions and delivering
integrated projects to customers both in Israel
and across the world. Millions of users know that

be by their side. Motorola Solutions Israel, estab-
lished in 1964, was the first Motorola subsidiary
and R&D center outside America. Few compa-
nies are considered pioneers in their fields, and
even fewer companies can boast such a unique
game changing influence on the entire industry
as can Motorola. In a time when Israel was still
struggling for its existence, Motorola Solutions
Israel was a pioneer in the telecommunications
industry, especially in the mobile and wireless
segment. Israel’s unique challenges, together
with the quality of Motorola products, led to
numerous technological breakthroughs and
customer projects that received worldwide rec-
ognition. Every solution, no matter the scale, is
planned and implemented according to insights
and actual needs that arise from the field. We
are here to help our customers excel - to be their

Main solutions Areas:
• Communication Networks: Wireless Radio Net-
works for public spaces and organizations based
on TETRA, ASTRO, DMR and LTE technologies.
• Communication units: Supply and manage-
ment of two-way radio and other end user de-
vices for different verticals and needs.
• Applications: Development, supply and sup-
port of advanced applications for collecting,
managing and analyzing information; Interfac-
ing with core enterprise systems on different
platforms.
• Dispatch, Command & Control: Construction,
operation and management of municipal, res-
cue, public safety and organizational dispatch
and command & control solutions for managing
routine and emergency events.
• Implementation, Support and Service: End-
to-end responsibility for delivery of customer
projects. Service and support in accordance with
service agreement (SLA).
Key projects in Israel:
• The nationwide emergency communication
system linking all crisis and rescue units and
selected critical infrastructures.
• Operational communications and wireless con-
nectivity – WiFi – for Israel Railways and their
passengers, on stations, trains and along the
rail network.
• Safe City Command & Control systems in Tel
Aviv, Ashkelon and other cities.
• The 4G-LTE cellular communications solution
for the Israel Defense Forces.
Comprehensive tailored solutions
Motorola Solutions Israel develops and imple-
ments solutions for all aspects of communica-
tions and informationmanagement. We facilitate
smart and swift business decisions for enterpris-
es based on intelligent communication between
branches, field personnel and organizational
resources. For public safety, we help creating
safer cities through combined monitoring and
control solutions, fortified communication net-
work and dedicated end-devices. We collect
data and video analytics and turn information
into intelligence, providing actionable insights
and situational awareness. Our knowledge and
experience with development and integration
capabilities, provides customers with tailored
turnkey solutions.
Corporate Structure:
R&D Center
The Israel Research and Development Center
is an essential part of Motorola’s global devel-
opment strategy. The center employs dedicated
teams whose mission is to develop innovative
capabilities for security organizations in Israel
and around the world. The Israeli center has
played a leading role in prestigious projects for
many years. This include the development of
end-user units for broadband networks (LTE),
development of mobile terminals for U.S. Postal
and additional global courier companies and
the creation of the MotoBridge system which
enables communication between emergency
and rescue units and agencies using different
communications technologies.
Business Groups
Activity in Israel:
The division promotes our of-
fering to police, military and security agencies,
rescue forces, government bodies, public institu-
tions and business organizations. The division’s
flagship projects include the development and
establishment of a national emergency net-
work for the benefit of public safety, broadband
network for emergency and rescue forces and
deployment of “safe city” systems in various
Israeli cities.
Overseas Operations:
The division special-
izes in providing communications solutions for
government bodies, emergency forces, public
safety and rescue agencies, and for critical infra-
structure such as power companies and oil and
gas companies. The division is responsible for
marketing and sales to more than 45 countries,
and supplies large scale end-to-end projects,
including digital communication systems, Safe
City Command and Control systems, SCADA and
network billing systems.
Solutions, Service and Integration:
The division
is responsible for planning and implementing tai-
lored solutions and systems to all our customers.
This includes implementing digital communica-
tion systems in various standards, broadband
systems, command and control systems and
more. In addition, the division services and re-
vamps end units and provides technical repair
services to customers in Israel and abroad.
MSVC (Motorola Solutions Venture Capital):
Our VC unit undertakes strategic investments in
start-up companies and has been active in Israel
since 1999. MSVC’s investment profile consists
of companies that develop emerging technolo-
gies in Motorola’s core business areas, creating
a high aggregate value of the companies. The
investment portfolio includes AgentVi, BriefCam,
VocalZoom and NUBO among others.
