Company History
Until 2011, Perion operated under the name

Ofer Adler, and was an email software com-
pany allowing users to add signatures, voices
and individualized animation effects in order
to create a personalized email user interface.
In 2006, the company was listed on NASDAQ
and in November 2007, was listed on the TASE.
In 2014, the company was listed on the TA 75
Index. In August 2011, the company acquired
Smilebox and changed its name to Perion in
November 2011. In 2012, the company acquired
SweetPacks, also known as SweetIM. In January
2014, Perion merged with Conduit’s Client Con-
nect division in a stock exchange deal.
In order to expand its involvement in mobile ad-
vertising, the company acquired the US-based
company Growmobile in June 2014 and in Febru-
ary 2015, acquired Paris-based MakeMeReach,
which operates social advertising solutions.
MakeMeReach was integrated into Growmobile,
which became Perion’s mobile and social mar-
keting unit. In July 2015, Growmobile expanded
its app developer services and launched a sys-
tem for increasing user engagement on mobile
apps.
CodeFuel, Perion’s monetization unit, offers a
range of advanced engagement solutions for
maximizing profit for publishers by creating new
revenue sources and targeting customers. Co-
deFuel enhances user experience by providing
relevant content and it optimizes conversions
for brands and publishers. These solutions
keep users on websites for a longer time, while
creating genuine experiences through native
advertising. Perion recently expanded its op-
erations and in December 2015 acquired the
US ad company Undertone for $180 million.
Undertone provides high-quality, cross-screen
digital ad solutions that help advertisers stand

tone’s advertising solutions are unique, large-
scale, and built to connect brands and users on

engagement with the ad.

are set aside for various activities to benefit the
community with the main social responsibility
effort focusing on Israel.
As part of activities in Israel, Perion supports
projects in education, technological innovation,
operates a program for improving the lives of
Holocaust survivors, and works to provide help
to special-needs children and youth from dis-
