Topaz Electrical Engineering & Lighting Ltd.,
the leading company in the Topaz Group, is

tancy services in electricity, electrification, light-

and was founded in 1999 by electricity and lighting
experts Haim Zonenshtein and Zeev Friedman, ac-
tive since the 70s. During 1992 Abu HatoumMajid
joined Topaz company as a young engineer and
since 2006 as CEO. Today, the company has 35
staff members, engineers, technicians, consultants,
draftsmen and clerks. Topaz has provided services
to about 4,000 projects in Israel and abroad in elec-
tricity, electrification, lighting, architectural light-
ing, traffic lights, communications and auxiliary
management systems, energy control and savings.
Projects include: City and inter-city highways, rail-
ways tracks and stations, bridges, interchanges,
regional infrastructures development, factories and
industrial buildings, public buildings, sports fields,
road and railway tunnels, health institutions, com-
mercial buildings, pumping stations, hotels, tour-
ismprojects, museums, residential neighborhoods,
etc. Works rests on cooperation with architects,
developers, local authorities and construction com-
panies. Customers include: Government ministries,
Ports Authority, Cross-Israel Highway 6, National
Parks Authority, developers, etc. The company spe-
cializes in designing high, low and very low voltage
electricity and familiarity with and designing overall
communications and control systems, SCADA, reli-
ability andmaintainability calculations RAMS, con-
trol safety and security systems. The company also
specializes in designing of architectural lighting.
Topaz collaborates with the world’s leading design
companies to design railway electrification projects
and as a teamparticipated in setting Instruction 18
of the National Infrastructure Committee for elec-
trification of the national rail network and the light
rail. The companymanages electrical projectsworth
hundreds of millions of NIS annually.
