hufersalis Israel’s largest and leading retail
chain. Millions of customers are served by
277 branches throughout Israel covering
514,000 sq.m. with over 13,000 employees. In
2015, the company’s income amounted to NIS
11.5 billion. Shufersal’s shares are traded on the
Tel Aviv Stock Market.
Shufersal operates the following formats
Discount Stores Group
Shufersal Deal –
A countrywide chain located
mainly outside the cities centers, characterized by
discount prices , offering a wide product range.
Shufersal Deal operates 116 stores.
“Yesh” Store Formats
“Yesh” operates 21 stores.
The offers a range of products at discount prices.
“Yesh” provides a solution to a relatively large
consumer basket, and kosher products. The chain
includes: “Yesh Hesed” for the ultra-orthodox and
“Yesh B’shchuna” an urban format offering low cost
shopping experience.
Neighborhood Stores Group
Shufersal Sheli -
Neighborhood retail stores oper-
ates 88 stores in city centers, thus provide con-
venience, service, close-to-home. Shufersal Sheli
stores are based on personal attention and deep
knowledge of the needs of the customer.
Shufersal Express -
An urban “convenience stores”.
The chain operates 47 franchises stores in the heart
of the neighborhoods.
Organic Market -
Shufersal strives to respond to
healthy, fresh and organic food needs. Organic
Market stores are anchored in Shufersal branches
and provide vegetables, fruit, cereals, pulses, dairy
products andmore, all organic and supervised. The
chain also holds natural and organic toiletry, wash-
ing and baby products.There are 51 shops inShufer-
sal branches, and 5 more independent stores.
Shufersal Online
Shufersal operates the largest e-commerce website
in Israel for online groceries shopping. Shufersal
Online offers its customers precise consumers’
baskets, through a comfortable and user friendly
shopping experience at discount prices. Shufersal’s
application for smarts phones was launched during
2015, providing its customers with an innovative
experience,including a variety of services: personal
benefits, coupons, listmanagement, planning of fast
purchases at Shufersal’s branches, etc. Company’s
sales through this channel amounted to about 6%
of 2015 profits. The company is anticipating the
continued growth of this channel and is making
all necessary adjustments in order to maintain the
quality of service this channel provides its clients.
Shufersal also has one of Israel’s most active Face-
book pages with over 443,000 followers.
Shufersal’s Private Brand
Shufersal offers customers 2,140 “Shufersal”
and “Yesh” private Brand quality products at at-
tractive prices. Offering a cheaper alternative for
branded products. These products are carefully
selected and undergo the strictest quality control.
During 2015 Shufersal’s private brand launched
dairy products, fresh meat products (Angus) and
snacks. The labels includes food and grocery
goods, toiletries, homecare, bakery, beverages,
milk, frozen and chilled foods, vegetables and
more. The sales of the private brand products ac-
counted for 15% of all retail sales in 2015.
Loyalty Club
Shufersal develops its Loyalty Club and provides
its members with real benefits based on familiar-
ity with their habits. The Loyalty club members
accumulate points in every purchase, receive per-
sonally adapted members only offers, personal
mailing and coupons, special focused offers as
well as events at branches. The club acquired
around 1.8 million members.
Shufersal’s Credit Card
“Shufersal” and “Yesh” credit cards provide cus-
tomers benefits and offers in food chains, gas sta-
tions and other businesses. The credit card allows
non-banking activities and is the largest off-bank
credit card in Israel (nearly 500,000 active cards).
Self-Service, Automatic Tills in Branches
Shufersal is Israel’s first chain to provide innova-
tive services including self-service tills, which help
shorten lines.
Logistics Centers
Shufersal operates a few central distribution cen-
ters allowing supervised, focused management
of goods and substantial logistics costs savings
extending over 57,000 sq.m. In 2016 an additional
logistic center will be opened inShohamon 35,000
sq.m. As a result, the company will concentrate its
activity to 3 main centers of operation. The opera-
tion of the new logistic centers will enables increas-
ing self distribution, change of working processes
and optimizing the supply chain and the work in
the stores.
Shufersal Real-Estate
In 2013, “Shufersal Real-Estate” was established
aiming to develope and improve real estate prop-
erties, thus adding value to the company and
facilitating management focus on real estate.
“Shufersal Real-Estate” operates income-produc-
ing properties centeredwith the chain’s branches-
being surrounded by commercial areas.
Gidron
A subsidiary of the company, manufacturing and
providing bakery products and other types of
ready food.
