Yeinot Bittan Ltd.
Y
einot Bitan Ltd. and subsidiaries is a
retail food chain of 70 branches locat-
ed nationwide with a combined retail
space of 82 thousand square meters (net). The
chain sells food products, cleansing agents, and
household goods, as well an extensive range of
other products at low prices, while maintain-
ing high quality standards, fair employment
practices and contributing significantly to the
community.
Yeinot Bitan was established in 1995 by Nahum
and Nurit Bitan, who decided to pursue their
dream by transforming their small wine business
from which the chain’s name originated, into a
thriving chain. The Bitan’s family values and warm
attitude have gradually seeped to all levels of the
company, and have become a strategic asset in
the chain’s development.
In February 2013, the company acquired the
“Machsanei Kimat Hinam” chain, and with
transaction closing, Yeinot Bitan became Israel’s
third largest retail chain.
Yeinot Bitan is primarily a discount chain that
provides its customers with a competitively priced
shopping basket.
The strict adherence to low costs is without
compromising the company’s quality and service.
The chain offers customers fresh, high quality
and kosher products (including special-kosher
products), at low cost, along with courteous and
friendly service provided by the chain’s 5,500
employees.
Yeinot Bitan operates in two main formats - large
branches and neighborhood branches. Under
both formats, the chain maintains its commercial
principles and offers its customers a competitive
shopping basket.
Professionalism
The chain’smeat and fish departments specialize
in the highest quality meat and food products. A
broad range of products is available throughout
the various branches, including freshmeats, cured
meats, fresh sea and freshwater fish. Additionally,
a team supervises the operations of each meat
and fish department, assuring that each product is
carefully examined for freshness and quality. The
departments are under veterinary supervision.
Yeinot Bitan is a leading Israeli fresh fishmarketer.
The chain leads in its extensive range of fish
available and sales turnover.
For its fruits and vegetable departments, the
chain buys its produce directly from the farmer,
which means that a careful selection of fruits and
vegetables is made prior to arrival at the stores,
assuring freshness and top quality produce.
Yeinot Bitan is not resting on its laurels and is
continually evolving:
Customer Club -
at the end of 2014, the chain
established its Family Card Club, in partnership
with Visa Cal. In early 2015, a co-operation
agreement was signedwith Club 365 and the chain

joint club nowhas 185,000members and provides
the broadest set of benefits available in Israel.
Online sales -
another sales channel that the
chain is developing is online sales. This channel
is being developed in leaps and bounds in Israel.
The chain has set up ten internet sales platforms
available from Haifa and the Kriyot in the north,
down to Ashkelon in the south. Yeinot Bitan uses
the existing Mysupermarket site sales platform.
Open Market branches -
in April 2015, the chain
opened a unique branch that combines an open
market experience with a supermarket experience.
The new branch is located in Rehovot’s wholesale
market. The branch covers an area of 5,000 square
